AHOY MATEYS!!!!LORD & EVANS PAINTS TAKES TO THE HIGH SEAS
Lord & Evans Paints is proud to be a sponsor of the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry located in downtown Charleston, South Carolina. The museum recently approached Lord & Evans and asked if we would like to donate the paint necessary to convert their Lowcountry shrimp boat exhibit to a colorful pirate ship, reminiscent of the numerous swashbuckler vessels found off the shores of South Carolina in the Golden Age of Pirates in the Carolinas. We gladly agreed to showcase our paint and thus provide hours of enjoyment to the thousands of children and their families who come through the doors of this lively interactive museum.
While enjoying this exhibit, children can search for buried treasure, hoist the ship’s mainsails, check out the ship’s brig and climb all the way to the top of the crow’s nest. The experience culminates in the dubious treat of walking the plank! During the opening festivities, more than 800 children and their families participated in the excitement.
The Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry is located at 25 Ann Street, Charleston, SC 29403. They can be reached by telephone at 843-853-8962. Their hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. The museum is closed on Mondays and holidays..
